TRANSFORMATIVE VISIONS is a dynamic community arts event with a message of peace, justice, and possibility. Through visual art, spoken word, and live music, our goal is to both challenge and inspire, offering a multi-vocal creative response to critical issues of the present day. We engage the arts as activism and a channel for healing and community connection. In a climate of escalating violence, racism, and economic injustice, and in this time of growing social movements – including the Movement for Black Lives, Immigration Rights, and Indigenous-led struggles for sovereignty and environmental sanctity – Transformative Visions brings people together, inviting us to see differently, and affirming that within each of us is the power to transform ourselves and our world.
