In all that we do there is the common thread of concern for peace and
justice, interfaith and multiracial community building, a wholistic
approach to healing and growth, and the integration of spirituality and
the creative arts as dynamic components of compassionate social change.
All of our programs and services are available on a sliding scale basis,
with no one turned away for lack of funds. Examples of our core

* Spirit, Sound & Silence
Quarterly retreats
offer a day of healing and renewal with guided meditation, visioning,
labyrinth walk, time in nature, and a live musical soundscape by Destiny
the ‘Harpist from the Hood.’ Held in Oakland, sliding scale admission with scholarships available.
* Transformative Visions
Annual art, jazz and spoken word event addressing social issues and
lifting up a vision of peace, justice, and possibility for our

* Classes and Workshops
Designed to be informative, enlightening,
inspirational, and practically applicable. Topics include: ‘The
Life & Legacy of Howard Thurman,’ ‘Mysticism & Social Change,’
‘Women, Spirituality & Social Action.’ These are presented both
locally (in the Bay Area) and in other cities around the US in community
and academic settings.
* Sustaining the Soul of Activism (and Activists)
Special workshops and resources supporting the resilience of
activists, caregivers, change-makers and others working to lift up our
communities.
* Spiritual Counseling
One-time or ongoing counseling and prayer support by phone or during
in-person sessions. We receive each person with compassion and respect,
empowering them through a spiritually-based approach to their conditions
of concern.
* Consulting and Facilitation
We
support client organizations in a wholistic approach, working in both
the “inner” and “outer” dimensions to reveal new possibilities for
personal and organizational development.
* Ceremonies for Life Passages (weddings, memorials, blessings, etc.)
We support clients in navigating their times of transition (whether of
celebration or bereavement) and co-create sacred ceremonies that are
uniquely responsive to their particular needs.
* Authored Materials
Newsletters, articles, CDs, curricula, web-based resources, etc. address
subjects relevant to our mission to provide resources for academic and
general audiences.
